Smart networking with DGT 3.0
Thanks to the integrated SIM card, the warning light automatically connects to the DGT 3.0 system. In case of breakdown or emergency, your location is immediately transmitted to the official traffic network. Connection to DGT
The SOS V16 automatically connects to the central traffic authority DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico) via the IoT network. In the event of a breakdown, the exact location of the vehicle is transmitted in real time – all without a smartphone, app, or manual input.

SOS Warning Light
Activated with just one button press, the SOS V16 automatically sends an emergency signal (SOS) to the traffic authority (DGT 3.0), including the GPS position of your vehicle. At the same time, the strong LED light starts flashing – visible during day and night, in fog, rain, or on the highway.

Mandatory from 2026
The V16 warning light is a compact, orange flashing light placed on the vehicle roof. It emits a 360° light signal and simultaneously transmits the vehicle's location in real time to the DGT 3.0 platform of the Spanish traffic authority. This enables a quick warning to other road users and facilitates rescue services in locating the vehicle.

StVO compliant
Setting up a warning triangle requires the driver to leave the vehicle and move onto the roadway, which poses a significant safety risk, especially on highways. The V16 warning light, on the other hand, can be placed on the roof from inside the vehicle, significantly reducing the risk for the driver.

Auto connection
The obligation to use the V16 warning light applies to all vehicles registered in Spain, including rental cars. Vehicles with foreign registration are exempt from this regulation, but it is recommended to inform yourself about the current regulations before traveling to Spain.

DGT 3.0
From January 1, 2026, only connected V16 warning lights may be used on highways and expressways in Spain. The use of a warning triangle or a non-connected warning light can lead to fines. The exact amount of the penalties has not yet been determined, but violations of traffic safety regulations in Spain are generally strictly punished.
